There will be minimal works here but a movies tab looks nice ^_^

Doukyusei - Asumiko Nakamura/A-1 Pictures

A modern classic. Doukyusei is a sweet and beautifully done film which I would reccomend to anyone wishing to taste the genre. The artstyle has always been unconventional but it looks so damn good animated. Sajou and Kusakabe are the most perfect couple to touch BL

Commentary on the manga as well - The manga is also superb. The later volumes do such a great job at fleshing out the twos relationship and the side characters. Nakamura-sensei has a strong focus on teacher-student relationships in these volumes which some might not enjoy. Regardless both works are 10/10

Seaside Stranger/Stranger by The Shore - Kii Kanna/Studio Hibari

Stranger by the shore is one of the most important works in my life. I watched this film when I was young, before I had figured out anything about my identity and it set me upon the path you find me on today. It served as the greatest introduction to bl I could ask for.

Speaking on the actual subject matter: Its gorgeous. Shun and Mio are flawed but kind individuals and the movies slow pacing suits the building of their relationship perfectly. The animation is incredibly charming and displays the beauty of their home (and them) so well. I find it incredibly hard to put my love for Seaside Stranger into words. How do you express the way you love your blood, your bones, your tissue? It serves as such a foundational element its hard to do. Please do go watch it 10/10

This Boy Caught a Merman - Dir Soubi Yamamoto

I stumbled upon This Boy Caught a Merman on BiliBili one fateful evening. It's visual style and premise was amuisng so me and a few friends watched it. While it at first may look funny this is one of the most visually striking and interesting bls I've seen. it has a bold and incredibly colourful visual style and the actual story is very cute. It's low budget is turned into the thing I can praise most as it explores these unique visuals and does far more with the visual medium than the average ever bl ever attempts. Watching this was a wakeup call for me to critically analyse the medium more than I previously did. This Boy Caught a Merman is not a perfect work but it is one with fresh and new ideas. The voice acting is also rather pleasant. Interesting/10
